Xurtz Xaries Xandegan, Drow Elf / Half-Draegloth Ranger / Fighter / Rogue

From the depths of darkness, somewhere between the surface world and hell, Xurtz Xaries Xandegan was born. In order to earn the favour of the Matron Mother and as an initiation of sorts, female Illythari, known to surface dwellers as Drow, often bed with demons. The product of such unholy unions are feral half-breeds which are usually six to seven feet tall, towering most normal humanoids. With bristly white hair and legs jointed like a dog's rear legs, it marks these half-breeds as something more sinister than a true drow.

From the beginning, as soon as he was able to form memories, Xurtz embraced his Dark-elf heritage and accepted his Demon nature, but upon hearing of how his whore of a mother had brought him into this world, the innate chaos in his heart focused into a hatred against her.

He was not barely a youngling when he murdered her at the Matron Mother's pleasure and became a favoured acolyte of the Mother, often carrying out assassinations for the Mother and rewarded with higher prey. Then one day came an assignment to rid the Underdark of a troublesome little drow from the Ev'enqua Rentin house, but the assassination failed when this Dark-elf showed that he had some sort of strange magical power. Xurtz was defeated, but still alive, though he knew if he stayed that this status would not last long. Running into the deep tunnels, hearing the house chosen no longer searching only for the runt drow, Xurtz broke through ancient barriers to find himself a portal which he promptly ran through. Blinded by the light that struck him, Xurtz wandered awhile before finding himself shade. He had found himself in a forest, to his surprise and chagrin he would later learn that this was the great Elven forest of Myth Drannor. Luckily, no elves were near, something in the wind told Xurtz that something was happening in the south and so he quickly made his way north, beyond the great forest before finding himself wandering the night in the plains.

He eventually found himself a band of marauders who instead of fearing him, as he believed any surface dweller's reaction would be, they actively welcomed him and recruited him into their folds. Actually, they were not marauders but a band looking to resurrect the dead gods of old, but this held little sway over Xurtz. However, the prospect of being taught to be a better killer and to be given opportunities to kill Xurtz agreed to help them in their higher purpose.
