Ashlyn Dlardrageth, Fey'ri Cleric

Ashlyn was born in Cormyr. of a fey'ri mother, cleric of Shar and another fey'ri, a follower of Tempus. She learned at a young age to conceal her true shape/form by pretending to be half-elven. She received an education, and learned the art of fighting with the scimitar from her father, who really wanted a child to follow in the footsteps of a fighter. Her mother wanted her to follow Shar, and in a fury (for reasons unexplained to Ashlyn) managed to kill and then sacrifice Ashlyn's father when she was 12.

She learned that death is inevitable, and that her mother is way too dangereous to be around, Ashlyn prepared herself and at an opportune moment managed to run away to the Western Heartlands - she was found/rescued by a cleric of Myrkul who saw in her a potential follower of that god. With nowhere to go, and in need to find a way to understand death (and a way to maybe prolong it/find a way around it) she became an initiate.

Her zeal and devotion came to the attention of Ladislas Sinesti, a priest driven by his devotion to Myrkul. Ashlyn became his protégé, thus when Ladislas joined the Black Hand, she joined as well. She does not care about the other gods, except as a means of returning Myrkul to his former glory, thereby gathering glory for herself from him, so she might not 'die'. She also desires enough power to not fear her mother and protect herself.
