Hamlet of Hommlet

Something big was going down, you could feel it. There where rumours around the camp, the new recruits were being tested for a specific purpose. Everyone was speaking in whispers about the Grand Conjuntion, what did this mean? The Knights of the Undying Dragon were portending visions, but in these dark times who knew what to believe?

A select few had been assembled before the leaders of the Company of the Black Hand. This meeting was important. The converted church in the city of Nartok had never really been home to those faithful to the cause, but it had served its purpose. When Mandor spoke that day, his voice was filled with an urgency everyone recognised. Those assembled had been called for something very important. Mandor was his usual ruthless self, showing no mercy, and demanding only the best from this group - why should they be any different?

Mandor interviewed everyone personally, further emphasizing the importance of the mission. He required a group of the faithful to travel to the site of ancient evil, and recover the Orb of Golden Death. It was rumoured that the orb was destroyed many years ago, along with the temple, but his sources say that there was activity in the area again. If such an artifact did exist, it would be the perfect tool to restoring the Dead Three to Godhood.

After everyone was briefed, they were assembled in the courtyard outside the temple where a wizard was making preperations on a magic circle. All members stepped inside the circle and awaited for the wizard to complete a lengthy spell. Once completed, the group arrived in a sparse forest, in a frozen wasteland. Mountains stretched as far as the eye could see from the east, southwards and to the west. North was more frozen tundra. Not to far to the east they say a group of hills, from which small whisps of smoke rose over the hills.

Hommlet
The Village of Hommlet
Crossing a few rises, the party caught it's first glimpse of the Village of Hommlet. Neslted in the trees and hills, it still seemed in many ways to be a frontier town. The party managed to find an abandoned farmhouse on the outskirts of town. It's simple wooden structure was long abandoned by it's original inhabitants, and now occupied only by snowdrifts. Anung, the self-appointed group leader (although Mandor favoured this decision from the beginning) decided it was best to leave the most monstrous looking members of the group (a half demon/half drow Xurtz, a cat-man named Rashaka, and the zombie Zuel) behind at the farmhouse.

Anung dressed up in priestly garb and pretended he was a priest of Tyr, he even managed to speak with the Cannoness Y'dey at the temple of Tyr. Xurts decided to skulk around in the alleys and wait for Anung to return.

Ashlyn and Malchior went to the local sage's house and worked on him, using overt sexual come ons, to press him for information. The sage was more than willing to help out, and was willing to offer some of his many maps, and even be a guide if they needed.

Serregeth walked into the main section of town and met a man named Carmen going to the Inn of the Welcome Wench. He accompnaied the man to the bar, where he proceeded to introduce himself to the bartender and most of the patrons there.

Meanwhile... Rashaka went to the next farmhouse over and systematically massacared an entire family.

Ashlyn and Malchior made their way into the centre of town and found the Inn of the Welcome Wench, where they met up with the rest of the party. Serregeth introduced the two ladies to his new 'friends'. Malchior found a new friend in the corner of the bar, 'Xaod the Slayer', a paladin of Heironious who had fallen in his duties. Ashlyn hit on the intoxicated local, Carmen until he agreed to come home with her. Malchior proceeded to work on Xaod until he submits and they leave for his bedroom.

Anung sat down with the Cannoness and priests for dinner, where she proceeded to question him on where he came from and what he is doing here, etc. He managed to sucessfully lie his way though everything asked of him.

Ashlyn took her drunk man into the alleyway, and brought him through a magical portal, back to the abandoned farmhouse. There she killed the unsuspecting man. She collected up his blood in a wineskin and summoned a wolf to rend the body so it was unrecognizable. Then she proceeded back into town under the cover of night. She managed to grafitti the three temples of good with the holy symbol of Myrkul with the blood she collected from her victim. Ashlyn then returned to the farmhouse.

Anung went to sleep at the temple, Xurts headed back to the farmhouse, as did Rashaka. Xurts went hunting in the woods and managed to find a few rabbits. Rashaka cleaned and cooked the bodies of the family he killed earlier. At this point Malchior came home and went up to her room to sleep with her zombie lover.

Anung manged to sneak out of the temple, he and Serregeth are both very annoyed at the fact that there is a dead man, mutilated on the floor of their farmhouse. Rashaka offers them a sample of 'man' food. At this point, the party realised that there are many tracks leading through the snow from the farmhouse to the village. Xurts got pissed off about tracks and went to try and cover them up as best as he could. Everyone goes to bed (or tranced) in various states of unhappiness and await the next morning.
