Deus Ex Machina

After four days at sea, the Endurance finally arrived at port. The boat pulled into the dock ward in Port-a-Lucine, a bustling port city in Dementlieu. Many people spoke with a distinct french accent.

Unloading their gear, Balthazar and Kuros purchased some carts, and horses to haul their equipment around. The captian advised purchasing documentation verifying that they are, in fact merchants. As a final favour to them, he had a friend in town procure the necessary documents, and bid them 'adieu'.

They traveled south-east, to the capitol city of Chateaufaux. Not stopping long, they managed to book passage on L'oiseau rapide, a merchant vessel headed south along the Musarde River towards Richemulot. The captain, Capitaine Verrigault, seemed knowledgable and never asked for any help from them. As well, he provided meals three times daily.

L'oiseau rapide sailed swiftly past the southern end of Falkovnia, and into the war-torn city of Pont-a-Museau. Continuing south along the Musarde, the two comrades passed the ruins of Ste. Ronges, and the village of Mortigny. The river bends to the east and they passed into Borca, where they took a southern fork, which become the Luna River.

Upon reaching Levkarest, the boat took a tributary bringing Balthazar and Kuros south into Gundarak. Passing by the capitol city of Zeidenburg, they unloaded their carts at Teufeldorf. From there it was a mere two day journey into Skald.

In Skald, they had a meeting with Lord Harkon Lukas, he was anxious to hear what they had to say about their travels. Balthazar gives him a debriefing.

Later they met up with Khol, whose eyes gleamed with excitement when they showed him all of the treasures they found. He identified all the equipment they have brought with them.

After a brief stay in Skald, Balthazar had a vision:
"You can feel your friends in a distant land. Your mind searches, cutting through the mists to a land of opression, tall dark forests dominate the landscape. Many armoured knights surround a walled city where the people inside are beaten into submission. The men wear black armour and have large black plumes atop their helms. You see a flash of brilliant light, this is where your friends are! But soon the light is snuffed out, and you can feel your comrades choking in the darkness... "

Kuros recognized this as his homeland, Falkovnia! Balthazar used his powers of the mind, allowing the two to fly across the lands.
